Welcome to Home Herb Gardener,

My name is Nicki Goff, and I've been gardening and growing herbs for
over 30 years. In that time, I've learned a lot, both through trial and
error experience and by studying about growing herbs. I've also loved
how fresh herbs add that extra zing to all my cooking. In fact, I'd
have to say that cooking without fresh herbs is like painting without
the color red on your palette!
Did you know that the use of herbs can be traced back to ancient
Egyptians and the ancient Chinese? Bible references and medieval
documents that show herbs have been in use for centuries. My herb
experience isn't nearly that long, but I do remember my mom's small
herb garden, where she grew sage, thyme, chives and oregano. Just the
basic herbs, but as they came back each spring from their winter
dormancy, the new green chive shoots were often spring's first sign. We
loved them in omelets and scrambled farm-fresh eggs.
You may want to grow herbs for several different purposes. Grow
culinary herbs to flavor food, fragrance herbs for potpourris, others
for teas or tisanes, for medical purposes or to even to control garden
pests. Your herb garden can be a specialized area, or you may want to
grow a mixture of herbs for different purposes. They can be
interspersed with other types and species of plants or even grown in
containers indoors. Many herbs you plant have several uses.
Although growing herbs in a home garden is extremely easy and
worthwhile, there is a lot of information you need to know and

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
